James Pearce Jr. to Participate in Preseason Despite Suspension
Linebacker James Pearce Jr. of the Falcons will participate in preseason games before serving an eight-game suspension for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy. This decision was confirmed by head coach Kevin Stefanski on Monday.
Pearce's suspension follows his arrest in February related to a domestic dispute. He has entered a pre-trial intervention program that could lead to the dismissal of multiple felony charges if he completes the six-month program, which includes therapy.
Stefanski expressed confidence in adhering to the league's protocols regarding Pearce's situation. He noted that Pearce is expected to continue practicing and playing during the preseason, with the suspension officially commencing on August 30.
