James Rowe Receives Two-Game Ban for Dangerous Tackle

James Rowe, a former forward for Adelaide and current midfielder for Woodville-West Torrens, has been suspended for two games due to a dangerous tackle on ex-teammate Patrick Parnell.

The incident occurred during a semi-final match against Glenelg at Adelaide Oval, where Rowe and Parnell were contesting a loose ball. Parnell managed to gain possession before Rowe tackled him, resulting in Parnell hitting his head on the ground and appearing distressed.

The SANFL Match Review Panel classified the tackle as careless conduct with high impact and high contact, leading to the two-game suspension. Rowe's absence will be felt as his team progresses to the preliminary final against the Sturt Blues, and he will also miss the grand final if they advance further. Rowe had a strong performance in the match, recording 24 possessions and eight tackles.
