Jamree Kromah Joins Miami Dolphins After Bears Waive Him
The Chicago Bears waived defensive end Jamree Kromah on Thursday to create a roster spot for newly acquired All-Pro defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons. The following day, the Miami Dolphins claimed Kromah off waivers, releasing veteran edge Robert Beal Jr. to accommodate him.
Kromah, who went undrafted in 2024 after playing at James Madison and Rutgers, had spent most of his early NFL career on practice squads. He made the Bears' 53-man roster this summer following a strong training camp and preseason, where he showcased his skills in a win over the Browns.
During his time with the Bears, Kromah played in two regular-season games, contributing as a rotational player. His departure highlights the challenges of roster management as the Bears pursue a Super Bowl run, while the Dolphins gain a promising young edge rusher.
