Jamshedpur FC Withdraws from 2026-27 ISL Season; Inter Kashi Pays Fees
Jamshedpur FC has announced its withdrawal from the 2026-27 Indian Super League season, while Inter Kashi has paid part of its participation fees amid financial challenges.
<p>Jamshedpur FC has confirmed its decision to withdraw from the 2026-27 season of the Indian Super League (ISL). The club, which is managed by Tata Steel, did not pay the required participation fee of Rs 55 lakh by the deadline.</p><p>Despite receiving an extension until July 31, the club opted to cease operations rather than fulfill the financial obligation. Jamshedpur FC, which won the League Winners’ Shield in the 2021-22 season, stated its commitment to continue supporting grassroots football development in India.</p><p>In contrast, Inter Kashi, another club that faced similar financial issues, managed to pay a significant portion of its participation fees before the deadline. However, the club is also dealing with a transfer ban due to unpaid wages to players and staff.</p>
