
Jamshedpur FC Withdraws from Indian Super League

This decision comes after the club failed to meet the All India Football Federation's deadline for payment of the first installment of the participation fee.</p><p>The club, which won the Indian Super League Shield in 2022, will cease its operations in the ISL. However, Jamshedpur Football and Sporting Private Limited will continue to work in Indian football, focusing on promoting and developing the game at the grassroots level. The company plans to identify and develop young football talent across India, creating a pathway for players from grassroots to national and international football.</p><p>Jamshedpur FC made its ISL debut in 2017-18 and had some successful seasons, including winning the League Winners' Shield under manager Owen Coyle. The club's withdrawal from the ISL adds to the uncertainty surrounding Indian football, which is already facing administrative and governance challenges.</p>
