Jana Fernandez Extends Contract with London City Lionesses Until 2029

Jana Fernandez, a defender for the London City Lionesses, has signed a new contract that will keep her with the club until 2029. The 24-year-old player joined the team in August 2025 from Barcelona and has quickly established herself as a vital member of the squad.

Fernandez participated in every match of the Women’s Super League last season, contributing to the team's sixth-place finish in their inaugural season in the top tier. Her strong performances at right-back earned her recognition as the club's player of the season, as voted by fans.

Prior to her time in England, Fernandez had a successful career at Barcelona, where she won five league titles, the Champions League, and the Copa de la Reina three times. She was also part of the Spanish national team that finished as runners-up to England at Euro 2025.
