Jarren Duran Linked to Potential Trade with San Diego Padres
Jarren Duran, a veteran outfielder for the Boston Red Sox, is reportedly being linked to a trade with the San Diego Padres. This speculation emerged this week, indicating that the Padres have a strong interest in acquiring Duran.
The 30-year-old Duran experienced a challenging season, finishing with a career-low batting average of .207, although he still recorded 20 home runs, 69 RBIs, and 21 stolen bases over 151 games. The Red Sox are contemplating parting ways with him, particularly as they are hesitant to meet his projected arbitration salary.
The Padres have identified left field as a position needing improvement, especially after injuries affected their lineup. With the Red Sox also having a promising young player, Roman Anthony, ready to take over in left field, the likelihood of Duran's trade to San Diego could increase this offseason.
