Jawaan Taylor Named Starting Right Tackle for Falcons
Jawaan Taylor has been named the starting right tackle for the Atlanta Falcons following his activation from the physically unable to perform list.
The Falcons' updated depth chart indicates that Taylor has taken over the starting position from Michael Jerrell, who is now listed as the backup. Taylor joined the Falcons after the retirement of Kaleb McGary and was anticipated to secure the starting role.
Previously, Taylor dealt with an elbow injury sustained while playing for the Kansas City Chiefs. After being released by the Chiefs in March, he signed with the Falcons in April. The 28-year-old was a second-round draft pick by the Jaguars in 2019 and has played four seasons in Jacksonville and three in Kansas City.
