Jay Fulton Highlights Swansea City's Squad Depth as Best Since 2018
Midfielder Jay Fulton has stated that Swansea City's squad depth is the best it has been since the club's relegation from the Premier League in 2018. Currently competing in the Championship, Swansea is leading the table after 10 games, having secured 23 out of a possible 30 points, marking their best start since leaving the top flight.
Fulton noted that the team has nearly two players for each position, allowing for effective rotation by manager Vitor Matos. This depth is reflected in the team's performance, with four goals scored by substitutes this season, ranking among the top in the league. Fulton emphasized the positive environment created by Matos, which has contributed to the team's cohesion and success.
Having played in all but one of Swansea's league matches this season, Fulton has experienced a resurgence in form under Matos, contrasting with his limited playing time at the beginning of the previous season. He credited the manager for restoring his confidence and sense of belonging within the team.
