Jay-Z to Perform at Super Bowl Halftime Show in Los Angeles
Jay-Z is set to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show in Los Angeles this February, having reportedly chosen himself for the role. This decision comes as he has been a significant figure in selecting halftime talent since Roc Nation's agreement with the NFL in 2019.
Sources indicate that Jay-Z was a more appealing choice than other artists like Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber, who were also considered for the performance. Despite not releasing a new album since 2017's double-platinum '4:44', Jay-Z remains a prominent figure in the music industry.
In August, Roc Nation refuted claims that Jay-Z had completed a new album, labeling such reports as false. Recently, he concluded a successful series of live performances, including two sold-out shows at Yankee Stadium that generated $42 million.
