Jayco and Picnic Confirm Plans for 2027 WorldTour Amid Registration Delays
Jayco-AlUla and Picnic-PostNL are actively pursuing WorldTour licenses for the 2027 season, despite missing the initial UCI registration deadline. Officials from both teams confirmed their ongoing efforts to complete the necessary paperwork.
The delays are attributed to issues with bank guarantees and unresolved equipment partnerships. Neither team has been denied registration, as they have until December 8 to finalize their applications. Jayco's parent organization, GreenEDGE Cycling, noted that the delays stem from international banking procedures.
Picnic-PostNL is also addressing paperwork related to a technical partnership following the bankruptcy of its current partner. Despite a challenging 2026 season, the team remains committed to achieving WorldTour status. If successful, both teams will contribute to a total of 18 men's and 14 women's teams competing at the highest level in 2027.
