Jayden Daniels Returns to Practice Ahead of Giants Game
Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels participated fully in practice on Wednesday, marking progress in his recovery from a left elbow injury.
Daniels sustained the injury during the final play of the first half in Week 2 against the Dallas Cowboys. He had been limited in practice leading up to the loss against the Indianapolis Colts, where starter Marcus Mariota was injured. With Mariota sidelined, rookie Athan Kaliakmanis stepped in, but Daniels took the majority of reps during Wednesday's practice.
Head coach Dan Quinn indicated that Daniels is expected to start against the New York Giants this Sunday, provided there are no setbacks. Daniels has been working on protecting his elbow and wore a brace during practice, which he plans to keep on for the game. He has previously dealt with similar injuries and has completed 57% of his passes this season, with three touchdowns and no turnovers in six quarters of play.
