Jayden Daniels Set to Start for Commanders Against Giants
Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels is confirmed to start against the New York Giants this Sunday after announcing his return to play. Offensive coordinator David Blough stated that Daniels is fully cleared to participate.
Daniels had been sidelined due to an injury to his left arm, which he sustained during a game against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 2. Although he traveled with the team to London for their recent loss to the Indianapolis Colts, he did not play. In his absence, Marcus Mariota took over as the starter but suffered an MCL injury, leading to rookie Athan Kaliakmanis stepping in.
Daniels has been practicing while wearing a brace on his arm, which he plans to continue using during the game. He has recorded 260 passing yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions this season, and he holds a perfect record against the Giants in his career.
