Jayden Higgins of Houston Texans Out for 2026 Season Due to Torn ACL
Houston Texans wide receiver Jayden Higgins has suffered a torn ACL and will be sidelined for the entire 2026 NFL season. The injury occurred during a joint practice with the Las Vegas Raiders in Houston.
Higgins, who was a second-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, played in all 17 games last season, recording 41 receptions for 525 yards and six touchdowns. He was expected to be a starting receiver alongside Nico Collins and Xavier Hutchinson on the Texans' depth chart.
In addition to Higgins, the Texans are dealing with other injury concerns among their wide receivers, including Justin Watson, Tank Dell, and Jaylin Noel. The Texans are set to play the Raiders in a preseason game on Thursday and will host the Buffalo Bills for their regular season opener on September 13.
