Jayson Tatum Delivers Game-Winning Shot Against Nets
Jayson Tatum secured a thrilling 125-124 victory for the Boston Celtics against the Brooklyn Nets with a last-second shot during overtime on Tuesday night. This win adds to Tatum's impressive record of 21-8 against the Nets in regular-season play.
In the game, Tatum scored 40 points, provided eight assists, and maintained a perfect free throw performance, going 18-for-22. Despite being blocked earlier in the final moments, he managed to evade a defender and deliver the decisive shot, much to the delight of the TD Garden crowd.
The Celtics drafted Tatum in 2017 as a result of a trade with the Nets in 2013, which has since haunted Brooklyn. The Nets have struggled to find success, winning only one playoff series since 2014, while Tatum has helped lead Boston to multiple playoff appearances, including a championship in 2024.
