WWE Hall of Famer JBL has expressed his support for a two-night Royal Rumble event, stating that it makes logical sense. He noted that only WrestleMania and SummerSlam have adopted this format so far, with speculation suggesting that the Royal Rumble could follow suit.

During a discussion on the Something To Wrestle With podcast, JBL highlighted the lengthy duration of the Royal Rumble matches, which often exceed an hour each. He emphasized that both the men's and women's matches are significant draws, culminating storylines and paving the way to WrestleMania.

JBL also mentioned the possibility of ESPN's involvement in the two-night format, particularly around the Super Bowl weekend in February 2027, although he did not have confirmation of this development.
