JBL Reflects on Brock Lesnar's Career After His WWE Retirement
Brock Lesnar has officially retired from WWE after suffering a defeat to Oba Femi at the SummerSlam event, following a previous loss to Femi at WrestleMania 42. Initially, Lesnar had hinted at retirement after his WrestleMania loss but returned to the ring to compete again.
WWE Hall of Famer John Layfield, known as JBL, shared his thoughts on Lesnar's career during a discussion on a wrestling podcast. He commended Lesnar's remarkable achievements and noted that every organization he was part of benefited from his presence. JBL described Lesnar as a unique talent, emphasizing the significant impact he had on audiences whenever he entered the arena.
JBL also mentioned that Lesnar's battle with diverticulitis had a considerable effect on his UFC career, suggesting that without this health issue, Lesnar might have continued to be a champion in that sport. He pointed out the rarity of Lesnar's wrestling appearances in WWE, noting that his limited number of matches over 14 years is unusual compared to typical wrestling schedules.
