Jeffery Simmons Clarifies 'Painted Nails' Nickname for Caleb Williams

Jeffery Simmons, a new defensive tackle for the Bears, stated that his nickname for Caleb Williams, 'Painted Nails,' was simply a form of gamesmanship from two years ago.

At that time, Simmons, who was with the Titans, made the comment during an NFL Network interview. He expressed surprise at the potential backlash from Bears fans following his remarks.

Now that both players are teammates, Simmons expressed his admiration for Williams and noted that he enjoys competitive banter on the field. He mentioned that they have communicated recently and that Williams does not hold the past comment against him, highlighting their mutual respect as teammates.
