Jeffery Simmons Traded to Chicago Bears Ahead of NFL Deadline
All-Pro defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons has been traded from the Tennessee Titans to the Chicago Bears as the NFL trade deadline approaches. This move was reported by CBS Sports' Matt Zenitz.
Simmons, who is 29 years old, was drafted 19th overall by the Titans in 2019 and has been a key player for the team, earning four Pro Bowl selections since 2021. The Bears are sending a 2027 first-round pick, a 2028 first-round pick, and a 2027 fourth-round pick to the Titans, along with a 2028 fifth-round pick in the deal.
In the 2025 season, Simmons had a standout performance, achieving career highs with 11 sacks and 17 tackles for loss, which earned him his first All-Pro selection. His trade comes amid the Titans' disappointing season, as they currently hold a 1-6 record heading into their game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
