Jena Bishop Trains with Ronda Rousey for Upcoming Rematch
Jena Bishop is preparing for a crucial fight in her career by training with UFC Hall of Famer Ronda Rousey. This collaboration comes ahead of her rematch against Liz Carmouche for the inaugural PFL women's flyweight championship.
The Professional Fighters League shared an image of Bishop training with Rousey as they gear up for the bout, which will take place on October 16 at Wintrust Arena in Chicago. This fight is significant as it will determine the promotion's first flyweight champion following its merger with Most Valuable Promotions.
Bishop previously faced Carmouche in the PFL women's flyweight tournament final, where she lost in the third round. Since then, Bishop has bounced back with victories over Borena Tsertsvadze and Ariane Lipski da Silva. Carmouche, on the other hand, is coming off a submission win against Viviane Araujo in June.
