Jeremiyah Love, a rookie running back for the Arizona Cardinals, is likely to be sidelined for the remainder of the preseason due to a high ankle sprain. This injury occurred during a recent preseason game against the Las Vegas Raiders.

In that game, Love rushed 11 times for 58 yards and contributed to three scoring drives. Following the game, head coach Mike LaFleur indicated that Love was experiencing more ankle soreness than anticipated. The team plans to hold him out for about a week for recovery, with a re-evaluation scheduled next week to assess his availability for the preseason.

Love was selected third overall in the 2026 NFL Draft from Notre Dame and is viewed as a promising player for the Cardinals' future, despite the team's modest expectations for his first year under LaFleur.
