Jeremiyah Love's Availability for Season Opener Uncertain
The availability of Jeremiyah Love, a rookie running back for the Arizona Cardinals, for the upcoming season opener remains uncertain.
According to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, Love is considered to have a 50/50 chance of playing in Week 1 after suffering an ankle sprain during the preseason opener on August 13. In that game, he recorded 14 touches, including 11 rushes for 58 yards and three receptions for 14 yards. Head coach Mike LaFleur had intended for Love, the fourth overall pick in this year's draft, to have a significant role in the game.
LaFleur mentioned that Love is making progress, although he did not confirm whether the running back would be ready for the season opener against the Chargers. The team's first injury report for the matchup will be released on September 9.
