Sochan, who was the ninth overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, previously played for the San Antonio Spurs for three and a half seasons. During his time with the Spurs, he averaged over 11 points per game in his first three seasons while adapting to various roles on the team. However, he fell out of the rotation in his fourth year and subsequently signed with the Knicks after being released.

In his brief tenure with the Knicks, Sochan averaged 6.9 minutes per game during the regular season and 3.3 minutes in the playoffs, but he celebrated winning his first NBA championship. Throughout his career, he has played in 228 regular season games, averaging 9.9 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game.
