Jets Acquire Defensive Tackle Junior Tafuna from Waivers

Defensive tackle Junior Tafuna has joined the New York Jets after being claimed off waivers from the Houston Texans. Tafuna was released by the Texans on Wednesday and quickly found a new team.

In a corresponding move, the Jets waived defensive tackle Patrick Jenkins, who had only recently been signed to their roster. Tafuna initially signed with the Texans as an undrafted player last year but did not play in any regular season games.

Jenkins' time with the Jets was brief, as he was added to the roster just before Tafuna's acquisition.
