Jets Evaluate Kickers Including Justin Tucker Amid Kicking Woes
The New York Jets conducted workouts for three kickers, including Justin Tucker, on Wednesday as they search for a reliable option for their kicking game.
Alongside Tucker, Michael Badgley and Josh Karty were also evaluated at the Jets' facility. The team previously had Nick Folk, who had a successful season but was allowed to leave in free agency. Jason Sanders, who recently missed a field goal and an extra point in a preseason game, is currently on the practice squad.
Tucker, a five-time All-Pro, faced a 10-game suspension last season due to a personal conduct policy violation but has since been reinstated. He previously had tryouts with the Saints and Colts without securing a contract. Badgley has a solid career field-goal percentage, while Karty was released by the Rams after eight games last season.
