Jets Players Stand Out Despite Loss to Bears
The New York Jets faced a challenging defeat against the Chicago Bears, losing 23-12 in a game marked by poor offensive performance. Quarterback Geno Smith struggled, completing only eight of 15 passes for 119 yards, while the team failed to generate significant offensive momentum.
Despite the loss, several Jets players delivered commendable performances. Offensive tackle Armand Membou had a standout game, achieving the highest PFF grade among offensive tackles in Week 4. His improved performance was a bright spot in an otherwise disappointing outing for the team. On defense, safety Minkah Fitzpatrick made a significant impact in his return from injury, recording 16 tackles and securing the Jets' first interception in over 630 days.
Special teams also saw a notable performance from punter Austin McNamara, who averaged 52.6 yards on five punts, helping to maintain field position in a low-scoring game. While the Jets' overall performance left much to be desired, these individual efforts provided some hope for improvement in future games.
