Jets Rookie Cornerback Mory Bamba to Miss Weeks Due to Knee Injury
Mory Bamba, a rookie cornerback for the Jets, will be out for a couple of weeks following a knee injury. The undrafted free agent had shown promise during the preseason opener last Friday.
During a workout on Monday, Bamba was observed wearing a brace on his right knee. Head coach Aaron Glenn confirmed in a press conference that the injury will prevent Bamba from participating in upcoming practices and games.
In his last game against the Buccaneers, Bamba recorded five tackles and defended four passes. If Glenn's timeline holds true, this injury will limit Bamba's opportunities to secure a spot on the initial 53-man roster, as he will miss the remainder of the preseason. The Jets' cornerback group includes players such as Nahshon Wright and DeAngelo Ponds.
