Jets WR Omar Cooper Out Week-to-Week with Ankle Injury
Omar Cooper, a first-round draft pick for the Jets, is anticipated to be sidelined for a period following an ankle injury sustained in the team's Week 1 win against the Titans.
According to Ian Rapoport from NFL Media, Cooper is classified as week-to-week after an MRI confirmed a sprain. There is optimism that he could return within four weeks, indicating he is not likely to be placed on injured reserve, which would keep him out for a minimum of four games.
During the game, Cooper recorded one reception for a 30-yard gain, which contributed to the first touchdown in the Jets' 23-10 victory. The Jets' roster includes other wide receivers such as Garrett Wilson, Adonai Mitchell, Isaiah Williams, and Arian Smith.
