Jim Ross Discusses Plans for Retirement from Wrestling Commentary
Jim Ross, a prominent figure in wrestling and current AEW broadcaster, acknowledges that he is approaching the end of his career. He has faced various health challenges over the years and is contemplating how he would prefer to retire from announcing.
During a recent episode of the Grilling JR podcast, Ross expressed that he has accomplished nearly everything he aimed for in his wrestling career. Instead of focusing on venues he has yet to visit, he is more concerned about having a planned retirement rather than an abrupt departure from the AEW Dynamite show.
Ross mentioned that his AEW contract is set to expire this month, and he is open to not renewing it if necessary. He has primarily appeared on AEW pay-per-views since extending his contract last year. Additionally, he is scheduled for brain surgery next week, which may affect his participation in upcoming events.
