Jim Ross Successfully Undergoes Brain Surgery
Jim Ross, a prominent figure in the wrestling community, successfully underwent brain surgery on August 12 in Norman, Oklahoma.
The 74-year-old had a shunt procedure to drain excess fluid from his brain, which is expected to alleviate his memory and balance problems. His podcast co-host, Conrad Thompson, reported that Ross is anticipated to return home by the end of the week and requested prayers for his recovery.
Prior to the surgery, Ross expressed gratitude for the support he received. Despite his upcoming procedure, he attended WrestleCon in Minneapolis and is hopeful about participating in AEW All In 2026. His contract status with AEW remains uncertain, as he has not yet signed a new deal before its expiration this month.
