Joe Brady Addresses James Cook's Ball Security After Rams Game
In a recent game against the Rams, James Cook achieved 111 rushing yards and two touchdowns, but a critical fumble nearly marred his performance. The fumble occurred just outside the Rams' 20-yard-line during overtime, allowing the Rams a chance to win, although a blocked field goal by Greg Rousseau helped the Bills secure a 37-34 victory.
Head coach Joe Brady highlighted that Cook's fumble was his second of the game and fourth this season, bringing his total to 11 since the start of the 2025 season. Despite Cook's impressive rushing statistics, Brady stressed the importance of ball security, indicating that continued issues could lead to reduced carries for Cook.
Brady also mentioned that quarterback Josh Allen contributed to the team's turnover issues with an interception, noting that the team needs to be more cautious with the ball to avoid jeopardizing their chances in crucial moments, recalling lessons learned from last season's playoff experience.
