
Joe Fraser Claims Gold in High Bar at European Gymnastics Championships
At the European Gymnastics Championships in Zagreb, Joe Fraser from Britain achieved gold in the high bar and bronze in the parallel bars.
The 27-year-old gymnast scored 14.3 with a challenging routine, marking his first high bar gold at a major championship. Cyprus' Marios Georgiou earned silver with a score of 14.2, while Savelii Sieedin, competing as a neutral athlete, took bronze with 14.066.
In the parallel bars, Fraser also scored 14.3, but finished behind Croatia's Illia Kovtun, who won gold with 14.7, and Turkey's Ferhat Arican, who secured silver with 14.433. Additionally, 19-year-old Sol made a notable debut, winning bronze in the vault with a score of 14.199. The team final is scheduled to be broadcast live on BBC Two.
