Joe Rogan Discusses Ongoing Knee Pain from Past Injury
Joe Rogan has revealed that he continues to experience knee pain years after undergoing surgery for a meniscus injury. During a conversation with UFC bantamweight Ethyn Ewing, Rogan discussed the long-term effects of his injury and the challenges he faces.
Rogan mentioned that he regrets having the surgery, as studies suggest rehabilitation may be a more effective treatment for meniscus injuries. He described his knee as constantly bothering him, with a lack of padding causing discomfort. Ewing, who also suffered a meniscus tear, expressed similar regrets about his surgical decision and opted for rehabilitation for a subsequent injury, which has proven beneficial.
Rogan's knee issues stem from a bucket-handle tear he sustained while practicing jiu-jitsu, leading to significant pain and stiffness. He has undergone multiple surgeries throughout his martial arts career and has raised concerns about the long-term effects of injuries, including potential brain damage from repeated head trauma. He also expressed interest in stem cell therapy, stating he would have chosen that option had it been available at the time of his surgery.
