Joe Rogan Discusses Sean Strickland's Pay Dispute with UFC
Joe Rogan recently addressed the pay dispute involving UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland during a podcast episode. Strickland has not competed since March, when he won the title from Khamzat Chimaev.
Following his victory, Strickland was in discussions for a fight against Nassourdine Imavov, but negotiations fell apart due to a discrepancy between the UFC's offer and his expectations. He has since hinted at a potential shift to boxing, aiming to fight Jake Paul after fulfilling his UFC contract.
Rogan noted that Strickland's popularity among fans could be advantageous for selling fights, especially given his ability to generate interest. Despite this, UFC president Dana White has downplayed Strickland's concerns, stating that he signed a long-term deal in March, which Strickland claims he felt pressured to accept. Strickland's future with the UFC remains uncertain, especially after his recent appearance in Canada without any meetings with UFC officials.
