Joe Salisbury Retires from Professional Tennis

Joe Salisbury, a former world number one in doubles and a six-time Grand Slam champion, has retired from professional tennis. He concluded his career at the US Open, where he reached the semi-finals alongside his long-time partner Rajeev Ram, who is also retiring.

Salisbury and Ram made history in 2023 by becoming the first duo to win three consecutive men's doubles titles at the US Open. Throughout his career, Salisbury achieved significant milestones, including winning the 2020 Australian Open and two mixed doubles titles with Desirae Krawczyk.

At 34 years old, Salisbury expressed contentment with his decision to retire, reflecting on his successful career and the joy of traveling the world as a professional athlete. He concluded his career with 17 tour-level titles, including the ATP Finals in 2022 and 2023.
