Joey Logano's Crew Chief Discusses New Dynamics in NASCAR Chase
As the NASCAR regular season approaches its conclusion, Joey Logano's crew chief, Paul Wolfe, has shared insights on the current dynamics of the Chase. With only one race remaining before the postseason, drivers are vying for positions in the top 16, while those already qualified are strategizing for the upcoming races.
Wolfe noted that the traditional belief of needing to be in the top six or seven to contend for the championship may no longer hold true. He pointed out that the consistency among drivers has shifted, with many teams experiencing fluctuating performances. This season's competitive landscape, influenced by the Next Gen car, has resulted in less separation between the leading teams.
Logano's recent performance, including two wins and a third-place finish in his last five races, has propelled him from outside the top 16 to ninth in the standings. Wolfe emphasized that the current season's unpredictability means that any driver, regardless of their position, could have a chance at the title.
