John Konchar Signs One-Year Deal with Knicks

John Konchar has finalized a one-year contract with the New York Knicks, the reigning champions, as reported by ESPN's Shams Charania.

The Knicks had shown interest in Konchar earlier this month, competing with at least three other Eastern Conference teams, including the Heat, Raptors, and Magic. Despite discussions with the Heat regarding a potential offer, Konchar opted to sign with New York.

With this signing, the Knicks now have 14 players on standard contracts and are not expected to fill the 15th spot due to salary cap considerations. Konchar, who was waived by Minnesota after being acquired from Utah, averaged 4.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game last season. His career shooting percentage stands at .469 from the field and .349 from three-point range.
