Johnson Wagner Advises Brian Harman to Revert to Old Putter Amid Pressure

Johnson Wagner has recommended that Brian Harman switch back to his old putter after observing the 2023 Open Championship winner experimenting with various clubs this season.

As Harman competes in the FedEx St. Jude Championship, he is tied for sixth place, but six shots behind the leader, Scottie Scheffler. Currently, he is projected to finish 51st in the FedEx Cup standings, which would end his playoff run and complicate his chances for future signature events.

Wagner noted that Harman has been feeling the pressure this year, having only achieved one top 10 finish on the PGA Tour. He mentioned that Harman reached out for advice, expressing concerns about his game. Wagner emphasized the importance of the current season for players aiming to secure a spot in the top 50, which is crucial for future competitions.
