Jolyon Palmer Urges George Russell to Seize 2026 F1 Title Opportunity
Jolyon Palmer has advised George Russell to make the most of his opportunity in the 2026 Formula 1 championship as he aims to close the gap to leader Kimi Antonelli.
As the F1 season resumes at the Dutch Grand Prix in Zandvoort, Russell is currently 59 points behind Antonelli, who leads the standings. Russell has faced challenges this season, winning two races while Antonelli has claimed six victories, including five in a row.
Palmer noted that Russell needs to reset after a tough start to the season and highlighted the pressure on him to perform. Russell began the Dutch Grand Prix weekend positively by securing pole position for the sprint race and winning it, marking his third sprint victory of the season.
