On October 14, Jon Moxley experienced a surprising defeat during the AEW Dynamite episode, marking his first pinfall loss on AEW television since April. This loss comes as he prepares for his Continental Championship match at WrestleDream.

Moxley participated in a trios match alongside Gabe Kidd and Daniel Garcia against the Don Callis Family, which included Mark Davis, Jake Doyle, and Wardlow. The match featured intense exchanges and power moves, with Wardlow proving to be a formidable opponent for Moxley and his team.

The decisive moment occurred when Davis executed a piledriver on Moxley, securing the victory for his team. This result is particularly impactful as Moxley is set to defend his title against Davis at WrestleDream, giving Davis a significant boost ahead of their singles encounter.
