
Jon Sassic, Penn State Football Commit, Out Indefinitely Due to Injury
Jon Sassic, an offensive line commit for Penn State's Class of 2027, is out indefinitely after sustaining a lower-body injury just before his senior season. The news was reported by Ryan Snyder from On3.
Sassic was expected to play a key role in the offensive line at Pittsburgh Central Catholic, which includes three other Power Four commits. Although details about the injury remain limited, Sassic has started rehabilitation.
At 6-foot-7 and 280 pounds, Sassic is ranked as the 60th interior lineman in the nation and 37th in Pennsylvania, according to 247Sports’ Composite rankings. He is one of five offensive line recruits in Penn State's 2027 class, which is currently ranked 20th nationally.
