The contract follows a recent agreement by Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson, which influenced the market for running backs. Taylor's guaranteed amount surpasses Robinson's, marking a significant milestone in running back contracts.

Previously, Taylor was entering the final season of a three-year, $42 million extension signed in 2023. He is expected to earn a base salary of $11.98 million in 2026.
