Jordan Burroughs Targets Islam Makhachev and Arman Tsarukyan for Wrestling Matches

Jordan Burroughs, an Olympic gold medalist in wrestling, has expressed his intention to compete against UFC welterweight champion Islam Makhachev and Arman Tsarukyan. Burroughs believes Makhachev may underestimate him, viewing their potential matchup through an MMA perspective rather than a freestyle wrestling lens.

After observing Makhachev's recent fight at UFC 330, Burroughs noted that Makhachev's confidence could be misplaced. He pointed out that Makhachev struggled against Ian Machado Garry, a fighter he considers not a strong wrestler, which leads him to believe he could dominate Makhachev in a wrestling match.

Burroughs, who recently won against Sean Brady at RAF 12, stated that he respects MMA fighters but believes that freestyle wrestling is his domain. He has also identified Tsarukyan as a top opponent due to his strong wrestling background and marketability. Additionally, he mentioned Colby Covington as another potential competitor, highlighting his championship experience in the UFC.
