Jordyn Tyson of the Saints Likely Out for Two Months Due to Injury
Jordyn Tyson, a rookie wide receiver for the New Orleans Saints, is expected to be sidelined for approximately two months due to a hamstring injury sustained during practice. Tyson, selected No. 8 overall in the 2026 draft, suffered the injury last Thursday while participating in a joint practice with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The injury occurred when Tyson caught a pass and landed awkwardly, leading to his departure from the field with team trainers. Saints coach Kellen Moore indicated that the injury was not related to Tyson's previous hamstring issues from college, emphasizing that similar situations could affect any player.
If Tyson's recovery takes the full two months, he would miss about the first five games of the season, leaving quarterback Tyler Shough with limited options at wide receiver. The Saints are set to begin their regular season against the Detroit Lions on September 13, following a preseason game against the Los Angeles Rams this Saturday.
