Jordyn Tyson's NFL Debut Delayed as Recovery Progresses
Jordyn Tyson, the New Orleans Saints' first-round draft pick, is still awaiting his NFL debut due to a hamstring injury sustained during training camp. Although he has not yet taken the field, he traveled to Paris for the Saints' game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Saints general manager Mickey Loomis has expressed optimism regarding Tyson's recovery, indicating that the current injury is not related to previous hamstring issues. He noted that the team is encouraged by Tyson's performance prior to his injury.
Tyson is not practicing this week, which is significant as his practice window will open once he begins. This 21-day evaluation period is crucial for the Saints to decide whether to activate him to the roster or keep him on injured reserve for the remainder of the season. His return is expected to enhance the team's offensive dynamics, particularly benefiting fellow receiver Chris Olave.
