Jorge Martin Cleared to Compete in Malaysian GP After Medical Evaluation
Jorge Martin has been cleared to participate in the Malaysian Grand Prix after receiving medical approval from MotoGP's medical team following the opening practice session on Friday.
Initially deemed fit by the official MotoGP doctor, Angel Charte, Martin underwent further assessment after the first track session at Sepang. Charte evaluated Martin's right wrist, which he injured in a crash at Phillip Island, and confirmed he could continue racing.
Despite being cleared to race, Martin faces a challenge as he finished 20th in FP1, trailing 1.8 seconds behind the fastest time set by his title rival, Marc Marquez. Meanwhile, Martin's teammate Marco Bezzecchi secured second place in the session. Additionally, Trackhouse's Raul Fernandez withdrew from the event due to an injury sustained earlier this month.
