
Jorge Martin Dominates British GP Sprint as Aprilia Secures Podium Lockout
Jorge Martin secured a decisive victory in the British Grand Prix sprint at Silverstone, extending his lead in the MotoGP standings. Starting from pole position, Martin led every lap of the race, facing only a brief challenge from Ai Ogura before pulling away in the final stages.
Marco Bezzecchi finished third, completing an Aprilia podium lockout, marking the team's first in sprint history. Raul Fernandez crashed out early in the race, while Marc Marquez struggled with performance, finishing ninth.
Martin's win was his third sprint victory of the season, as he finished 1.5 seconds ahead of Ogura, who solidified his second place in the standings. The race saw several incidents, including crashes involving Cal Crutchlow and Iker Lecuona, both of whom retired after the opening lap.
