Jorge Martin Faces Challenges in Indonesian GP Practice
Jorge Martin experienced difficulties during Friday's practice session at the Indonesian Grand Prix, finishing in third place despite his challenges. He attributed his struggles to issues with front tyre temperature, which affected his confidence and performance on the track.
Raul Fernandez set a new lap record, leading the session, while Martin trailed behind him and his teammate Marco Bezzecchi, with a deficit of 0.481 seconds. Although Martin outpaced his title rival Marc Marquez, who finished fifth, he expressed disappointment with his own form, noting that he could not achieve consistent lap times.
Martin hopes that his team can resolve the front tyre issues before the next session, recalling a similar situation in Japan where improvements were made overnight. He remains cautious about Marquez's potential, acknowledging that the reigning champion's pace is competitive. Currently, Martin leads the championship by two points over Marquez, with Bezzecchi significantly behind in third.
