Jorge Martin Secures Pole Position at British GP as Aprilia Dominates Qualifying

Jorge Martin, the current MotoGP points leader, achieved pole position for the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, edging out Raul Fernandez by just 0.021 seconds in a dramatic last-lap effort.

All four Aprilia riders qualified within the top five, with Fernandez initially setting a new circuit record before Martin's final lap secured his second pole of the 2026 season. Ai Ogura joined his teammates in third place, while Fabio di Giannantonio from Ducati qualified fourth, followed by Marco Bezzecchi in fifth.

The Marquez brothers struggled in the second run, with Marc finishing sixth and Alex seventh. Franco Morbidelli qualified eighth, while Iker Lecuona rounded out the top ten. Notably, last year's pole-sitter Fabio Quartararo missed out on Q2 by a narrow margin, ending up 13th.
