Jorge Martin Struggles in Australian GP Practice, Adjusts Riding Style
Jorge Martin faced challenges during Friday Practice for the Australian Grand Prix at Phillip Island, finishing as the slowest among the Aprilia riders. Despite Aprilia's strong performance overall, with Marco Bezzecchi leading the timesheets, Martin placed fifth, trailing by 0.255 seconds.
Martin's difficulties were attributed to his lack of experience with the RS-GP at this track, having missed the previous year's race due to injury. He noted that he reverted to his previous riding style from his time with Pramac Ducati, which led to issues with tire management. He acknowledged the need to adjust his approach to improve his performance.
Despite these challenges, Martin expressed satisfaction with his personal lap record and emphasized the importance of adapting his riding style to enhance cornering and exit speed. Currently, he holds a two-point lead in the championship standings over Marc Marquez, with Bezzecchi in third place, 46 points behind.
